	The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) announces a public meeting to which all persons are invited.

DATE AND TIME:	Tuesday, January 16, 2024, at 5:30 p.m. (Virtual Meeting) Wednesday, January 17, 2024, at 5:30 p.m. (In-Person Meeting)

PLACE:	(In Person) The Galleria at Fort Lauderdale 2414 East Sunrise Boulevard Fort Lauderdale, Florida 33304 (upper level near Swarovski store)

Subject:	The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will hold a virtual and in-person alternatives public workshop to present to the public the initial study results and to obtain comments regarding the alternatives being considered as part of the State Road 5/US 1 at SR 838/Sunrise Boulevard Project Development and Environment (PD&E) Study (Financial Project Identification Number: 441955-1-22-02). The project limits extend in the east-west direction along SR 5/US 1/Federal Highway and SR 838/Sunrise Boulevard between approximately NE 15th Avenue to the west and approximately Middle River Drive to the east with the study area extending slightly further to the east to NE 24th Avenue/Bayview Drive for approximately 1 mile in length. The Second Alternatives Public Workshop is scheduled for January 16, 2024 (Virtual), and January 17, 2024 (In-Person). There are two ways to participate in the meeting: Virtual: Persons who do not wish to attend the Second Alternatives Public Workshop in person can join the workshop virtually at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, January 16, 2024. If using a mobile device, the free “GoToWebinar” application is required to attend. Please allow adequate log-in time to view the presentation in its entirety. In-Person: The Second Alternatives Public Workshop will be held at The Galleria at Fort Lauderdale located at 2414 East Sunrise Boulevard, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33304, on Wednesday, January 17, 2024. The workshop will begin at 5:30 p.m. The same information will be presented at both the in-person and online Second Alternatives Public Workshop so attending both is not necessary. Participants are requested to register in advance for the Virtual Second Alternatives Public Workshop by visiting the project website at https://www.fdot.gov/projects/US1GatewayPDE. All exhibits presented at Second Alternatives Public Workshop can be viewed electronically on the project website. The environmental review, consultation, and other actions required by applicable federal environmental laws for these projects are being, or have been, carried out by the FDOT pursuant to 23 U.S.C. 327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated May 26, 2022, and executed by the Federal Highway Administration and FDOT. Public participation is solicited without regard to race, color, national origin, age, sex, religion, disability, or family status.
