	The County of Highlands announces a workshop to which all persons are invited.

DATE AND TIME:	Tuesday, February 20, 2024, from 6:30 p.m. – 8 p.m.

PLACE:	Placid Lakes Home & Property Owners Association Clubhouse, 2010 Placid Lakes Blvd, Lake Placid, FL 33852

Subject:	Highlands County invites you to a Public Workshop for the Catfish Creek Road Bridge Rehabilitation Project along Catfish Creek Road over Catfish Creek. This project will evaluate potential improvements to address existing structural maintenance requirements, as well as identify needs for enhancing safety, accommodating pedestrians and bicyclists, and meeting future transportation demand. The Public Workshop is being conducted to present information about the preliminary alternatives and provides the opportunity for the public to express their views about the project. IN-PERSON WORKSHOP: Tuesday, February 20, 2024 6:30 p.m. – 8 p.m. open house Placid Lakes Home & Property Owners Association Clubhouse 2010 Placid Lakes Blvd Lake Placid, FL 33852 This will include a looping video (no formal presentation) and the project team will be available for discussion. If you are unable to attend the meeting, comments can also be provided email (ROujevolk@HighlandsFL.gov) or mail (Highlands County Engineering, Attn: Richard “OJ” Oujevolk, 505 South Commerce Ave, Sebring, FL 33875). While comments about the project are accepted at any time, they must be received or postmarked by March 1, 2024, to be included in the formal workshop record. Questions can be answered by emailing the Highlands County project manager Richard “OJ” Oujevolk at ROujevolk@HighlandsFL.gov. A summary of the workshop will be available on the webpage approximately 30 days following the close of the comment period. Highlands County is sending notices to property owners, business owners, interested persons and organizations within 300 feet of the project to provide the opportunity to give comments to Highlands County regarding this project.
