Overview



	The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) announces a public meeting to which all persons are invited.

DATE AND TIME:	Wednesday, March 27, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. and Thursday, March 28, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

PLACE:	The virtual Construction Open House followed by the in-person Coffee with Construction Open House. The virtual public meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, March 27, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Please use the following link to register: http://tinyurl.com/State-Road-5. The in-person Coffee with Construction Open House is scheduled for Thursday, March 28, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Common Grounds Brew & Roastery, 12 S J Street, Lake Worth Beach, FL 33460, and will have an informal open house format. FDOT staff members will be available to discuss the project and answer questions.

Subject:	Financial Management No.: 446173-1-52-01 Project Description: State Road (SR) 5/North Federal Highway Milling and Resurfacing Project in the City of Lake Worth Beach The project scope consists of milling and resurfacing the existing roadway, adding drainage and constructing a raised intersection at 7th Avenue South, upgrading pedestrian curb ramps to meet Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards, installing signalized pedestrian crossings with Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacons (RRFBs) at 8th Avenue South, 3rd Avenue North, and 4th Avenue North, removing the existing midblock crossing between 4th Avenue North and 5th Avenue North, upgrading vehicular and pedestrian signalization at 6th Avenue South and 2nd Avenue North, installing lighting at the intersections of 8th Avenue South, 6th Avenue South, 2nd Avenue North, 3rd Avenue North, and 4th Avenue North, and upgrading signage and pavement markings for shared bicycle facilities and buffered bicycle lanes. Construction will begin in April 2024 and is estimated to be completed in Spring 2025. The estimated cost is $2.3 million.
