	The Florida Department of Transportation announces a public meeting to which all persons are invited.

DATE AND TIME:	Tuesday, April 23, 2024, 5:30 p.m. (EDT)

Subject:	The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) has updated information regarding the improvements of State Road (S.R.) 61 (South Monroe Street) from Perkins Street to North of Jefferson Street in Leon County. The project information can be accessed online anytime, anywhere, beginning at 12 p.m. (EDT) Tuesday, April 2, 2024. This meeting is being held both virtually and in-person to provide interested persons an opportunity to express their views concerning the proposed improvements. Citizens are encouraged to attend the virtual format by registering online at nwflroads.com/calendar. Those who are unable to participate virtually may attend the meeting in-person at the Leroy Collins Public Library, 200 West Park Avenue, Tallahassee, FL 32301. The principal intent of this project is to resurface 1.2 miles of S.R. 61 (South Monroe Street) from Perkins Street to North of Jefferson Street and replace the existing mast arms at Gaines Street in Leon County. Existing travel lanes, auxiliary lanes, median crossovers, on-street parking and paved shoulders will be resurfaced. A pedestrian mid-block crossing, updated pedestrian signal features, and other Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) facility improvements are included in the project.
