Overview



	The Florida Department of Transportation - SR 684 (Cortez Rd W) at Royal Palm Dr. Project announces a workshop to which all persons are invited.

DATE AND TIME:	June 13, 5-7 p.m.

PLACE:	The Bridge Church - Student Wing, 4000 75th St W, Bradenton, FL 34209

Subject:	FDOT has identified the need for safety and operational improvements on SR 684 (Cortez Rd W) at Royal Palm Dr. in Bradenton, Manatee County. This project proposes a new traffic signal and permanent median modifications to reduce conflict points and improve safety for SR 684 (Cortez Rd W) at Royal Palm Dr. This signal will include a pedestrian crossing to cross Cortez Road. With the new traffic signal proposed at this intersection, access to 102nd Street West and Valeria Avenue will be affected by the signal and the turn lane improvements. The plans will be available at the meeting, along with staff there to discuss the improvements. If you cannot make the meeting, we can email you the plans for your review. Reach out to the project manager listed below for any requests. You can participate in the SR 684 (Cortez Rd W) at Royal Palm Dr. In-Person Design Workshop on June 13, 2024, anytime from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at The Bridge Church - Student Wing, 4000 75th St W, Bradenton, FL 34209. The same materials will be displayed both in-person and online which will be posted by June 6, 2024, on the project webpage. After reviewing the SR 684 (Cortez Rd W) at Royal Palm Dr. Design Meeting materials, and/or participating, you may submit comments in three ways: 1) through the project webpage https://www.swflroads.com/project/454032-1); 2) email the FDOT Project Manager Walter Breuggeman at walter.breuggeman@dot.state.fl.us; or 3) mail comments to Walter Breuggeman at FDOT District One, P.O. Box 1249, Bartow, FL 33831-1249. While comments about the project are accepted at any time, please note that comments must be received or postmarked by July 8, 2024, to be included in the formal workshop record. A summary of the workshop comments and responses will be available on the webpage approximately 30 days following the close of the comment period. FDOT is sending notices to property owners, business owners, interested persons and organizations within 300 feet of the project to provide the opportunity to give comments to FDOT regarding this project. FDOT solicits public participation without regard to race, color, national origin, age, sex, religion, disability, or family status.
