	The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) District Four announces a hearing to which all persons are invited.

DATE AND TIME:	The Public Hearing will be held virtually and in-person on separate days. The virtual meeting will be held on Tuesday, June 18, 2024, at 6:30 p.m. The in-person meeting will be held on Thursday, June 20, 2024, at 6:30 p.m. A formal Presentation will begin at 7:00 p.m. followed by comment period.

Subject:	The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will hold a Public Hearing Meeting virtual and in-person for State Road (SR) 5/US 1 at Aviation Boulevard Project Development and Environment (PD&E) Study. The project identification number is 441693-1-22-02. The purpose of this project is to evaluate intersection improvement solutions to address existing and projected traffic demands, improve safety, support economic growth, and enhance modal interrelationships with rail, bicycle, and pedestrian modes. The environmental review, consultation, and other actions required by applicable federal environmental laws for this project, are being, or have been, carried out by FDOT pursuant to 23 U.S.C. § 327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated May 26, 2022, and executed by the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) and FDOT. The Public Hearing is scheduled for Tuesday, June 18, 2024 (Virtual), and Thursday, June 20, 2024 (In-Person). There are two ways to participate in the meeting: • Virtual: Persons who do not wish to attend the Public Hearing in person can join the hearing virtually at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 18, 2024. The Public Hearing will begin at 6:30 p.m. with a formal presentation, followed by a public comment period. • In-Person: The Public Hearing will be held at Community Center-Vero Beach located at 2266 14th Avenue, Vero Beach, FL 32960 on Thursday, June 20, 2024. The Public Hearing will begin at 6:30 p.m. with an open house. A formal presentation will begin at 7:00 p.m., followed by a public comment period. The same information will be presented at both the virtual and in-person Public Hearing, so attending both is not necessary. All exhibits presented at the Public Hearing can be viewed electronically on the project website https://www.fdot.gov/projects/SR5AviationBlvdPDE. Persons wishing to submit written statements or any other information, in place of or in addition to oral statements at the In-Person Public Hearing or on the project website, may do so at the In-Person hearing or by sending them to Vandana Nagole, P.E., FDOT Project Manager, 3400 West Commercial Boulevard, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33309 or by email at vandana.nagole@dot.state.fl.us. Questions and comments may be submitted via the virtual chat feature during the Open House of the virtual Public Hearing and during the comment period after the formal presentation. All questions, comments or statements postmarked on or before July 1, 2024, will become part of the Public Hearing record. In the event, that the Public Hearing cannot be held on Tuesday, June 18, 2024 (Virtual) or Thursday, June 20, 2024 (In-Person) due to severe weather or other unforeseen conditions, it will be held on the alternate date of Wednesday, July 10, 2024 (Virtual) and Thursday, July 11, 2024 (In-Person) at the same time and place. If you would like to review the project documents prior to the Public Hearing, they will be available to the public beginning on Tuesday, May 28, 2024, at the Indian River County Main Library located at 1600 21st Street, Vero Beach, FL 32960, (Monday and Thursday, 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.), (Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.), (Saturday, 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.) and (Sunday, 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.). The documents are also available on the project website. The documents will remain on display through July 1, 2024.
