Overview



	The South Florida Water Management District announces a workshop to which all persons are invited.

DATE AND TIME:	Wednesday, July 10, 2024, 8:30 AM 2024 ASR Science Plan Peer Review Panel Virtual Workshop

PLACE:	This meeting will be conducted via Zoom, a media technology free for the public to use.

Subject:	The District is hosting a technical workshop with an independent scientific peer review panel for the Aquifer Storage and Recovery (ASR) program. The workshop will include the progress of ASR well studies conducted for the Lake Okeechobee Watershed Restoration Project (LOWRP), a component of the Comprehensive Everglades Restoration Plan. Additionally, there will be discussions on scientific investigation related to ASR wells including water quality treatment, geological and ecological studies, and scientific studies conducted by the United States Army Engineer Research and Development Center. The public and stakeholders will have an opportunity to view and comment on the workshop utilizing the following link: https://sfwmd.link/4e9da8g. The link will go live at approximately 8:30 AM on July 10, 2024. One or more members of the Governing Board of the South Florida Water Management District may attend this workshop. No Governing Board action will be taken.
