Overview



	The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) announces a public meeting to which all persons are invited.

DATE AND TIME:	Wednesday, August 28, 2024, 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

PLACE:	In-person: The SR 80 / Palm Beach Blvd., Transportation Talks will be at the Riverside Community Center, located at 3601 E. Riverside Dr., Fort Myers, Florida 33916. Virtual/Online: Corridor specific materials will be posted on the study website https://www.swflroads.com/project/422244-1 . Comments can be submitted online by emailing Vitor Suguri, Ph.D., CPM, Project Manager at vitor.suguri@dot.fl.us.

Subject:	The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), District One, invites you to attend and participate in “Transportation Talks,” a new and innovative community outreach process that while specific to a certain area, is not associated with any particular project. This process will consist of multiple community meetings paired with feasibility studies by the FDOT to provide opportunities for the community to share their experiences and provide feedback. This first meeting will review the SR 80 / Palm Beach Blvd. corridor from SR 80 / Palm Beach Blvd. from I-75 to Veronica Shoemaker Blvd. You are invited to participate in the open house review of the corridor and identify potential short-term and long-term improvements within the study limits through these Transportation Talks. We would like to hear from you on the following topics: • Safety • Roadway maintenance • Pedestrian features • Bicycle features • Aesthetics Please note: if you have other comments or concerns outside of these topics, please feel free to share them. Written or emailed comments may also be submitted following the meeting to vitor.suguri@dot.fl.us or mailed to Vitor Suguri, Planning Manager, Florida Department of Transportation, 801 N. FDOT representatives are available to discuss the study, answer questions, and receive comments.
