Subject:	Federal regulations related to the Department of Health and Human Services funding requests require states, such as Florida, that are applying for Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program funding to prepare a Model State Plan as part of the application process. Another part of this process is providing the public an opportunity to review and comment on the contents of the Model State Plan. The Florida Department of Commerce is holding a public hearing on Friday, September 20, 2024, to receive comments regarding the State of Florida’s Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) Model State Plan. APPEALS INFORMATION: If a person decides to appeal any decision of the FloridaCommerce with respect to any matter considered during the public review and comment period, they will need to ensure that a verbatim record of the public comment is recorded, which record includes the testimony and evidence from which the appeal is to be issued.
