	The Department of Transportation District 2 announces a public meeting to which all persons are invited.

DATE AND TIME:	Oct. 15, 2024, 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m.

PLACE:	In-person: Gainesville Technology Entrepreneurship Center, 2153 SE Hawthorne Rd. Ste 101, Gainesville, FL 32641 Online: www.nflroads.com/VPH

Subject:	The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is hosting a hybrid public meeting to discuss proposed safety improvements on University Avenue (State Road 26) from Waldo Road (State Road 24) to Southeast 31st Street. FDOT and the City of Gainesville propose traffic signal adjustments, crossing enhancement, addition of new crossings addition of bicycle facilities, median modifications, sidewalk widening and intersection modifications. The meeting will begin with an open house from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m., followed by a public comment period at 6 p.m. Public participation is sought without regard to race, color, religion, sex, age, national origin, disability or family status.
