	The Manatee County announces a hearing to which all persons are invited.

Subject:	Manatee County invites you to a public hearing for the Fort Hamer Road Project Development & Environment (PD&E) Study from Upper Manatee River Road to US 301 in Parrish on Wednesday, December 4, 2024. This study is evaluating potential improvement alternatives to enhance safety, improve traffic operations, provide multimodal access, and meet future transportation demands in Manatee County. This hearing is being conducted to present the preferred alternative and all analysis to date, as well as to give interested persons an opportunity to express their views concerning the location, conceptual design, and social, economic, and environmental effects of the proposed improvements. You can participate live online or in-person. The information presented during either format will be the same and all attendees will have opportunity to comment. Participate in the December 4, 2024 public hearing: In-Person Option: at Parrish United Methodist Church, 12180 US 301, Parrish, FL 34219 Anytime between 5 – 6 p.m. Open house 6 p.m. Formal presentation and comment Displays will be available starting at 5 p.m. to review at your own pace and the formal presentation will begin at 6 p.m. The project team will be available for discussion. Live Online Option: starting at 5:45 p.m. at bit.ly/Fort_Hamer_Road_PDE_Study (please register in advance). Please review the materials on the project webpage before attending the live online event (www.forthamerroad.com). Materials will be posted by November 27, 2024. If you are unable to attend the hearing, comments can also be provided through the project webpage (www.forthamerroad.com) or by email (info@forthamerroad.com) or by mail (Manatee County Public Works, Attn: Anthony Russo, 1022 26th Avenue East, Bradenton, FL 34208). While comments about the project are accepted at any time, they must be received or postmarked by December 16, 2024, to be included in the formal hearing record. All comments are weighted equally. Questions can be answered by calling the Manatee County project manager Anthony Russo at (941) 708-7450 Ext. 7349. Project documents will be available for public viewing from November 13 to December 16, 2024, at Rocky Bluff Branch Library, 6750 US 301 North, Ellenton, FL 34222 and Palmetto Branch Library, 923 6th Street West, Palmetto, FL 34221. They will also be available on the project webpage. Manatee County is sending a notice to all property owners and tenants within at least 300 feet on either side of the project and to other public officials, regulatory agencies, organizations, and individuals interested in the project. In accordance with Section 4(f) of the Department of Transportation Act of 1966, Manatee County is seeking comments concerning the effects of the project on the activities, features, and attributes of Fort Hamer Park and Hidden Harbor Park. This PD&E Study is being conducted and completed according to the requirements of the National Environmental Policy Act and other related federal and state laws, rules, and regulations, which will qualify future phases of this project for federal funding, and this hearing was advertised consistent with those requirements. For federal funded projects: The environmental review, consultation, and other actions required by applicable Federal environmental laws for this project are being, or have been, carried out by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) pursuant to 23 U.S.C. §327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated May 26, 2022, and executed by FHWA and FDOT.
