Overview



	The City of Winter Garden announces a public meeting to which all persons are invited.

DATE AND TIME:	November 14, 2024 at 6:00 p.m.

PLACE:	Winter Garden City Hall Commission Chambers, 300 West Plant Street, Winter Garden, Florida 34787

Subject:	Pursuant to Section 337.401(3)(d), Florida Statutes, the City of Winter Garden hereby gives notice of the consideration for adoption of an ordinance addressing, in part, the placing or maintaining of telecommunications facilities within public roads or rights-of-way. The first reading of the ordinance is anticipated to be November 14, 2024 at 6:00 p.m. at Winter Garden City Hall Commission Chambers, 300 West Plant Street, Winter Garden, Florida 34787. The title of ordinance under consideration is stated below: ORDINANCE 24-___ AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF WINTER GARDEN, FLORIDA, AMENDING SECTION 70-3 OF CHAPTER 70, TELECOMMUNICATIONS, ARTICLE I AS ADOPTED BY ORDINANCE 24-09, REGARDING CASH ESCROW REQUIREMENTS FOR RIGHT-OF-WAY PERMIT APPLICANTS PERFORMING COMMUNICATIONS SERVICES FACILITIES INSTALLATIONS; PROVIDING FOR CODIFICATION, RATIFYING ORDINANCE 24-09; CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE. The second reading and adoption hearing for the ordinance will be advertised in accordance with Section 166.041, Florida Statutes. A copy of the ordinance may be obtained from the Winter Garden City Clerk via email at agrimmage@cwgdn.com. If any person decides to appeal any decision made by the City Commission with respect to any matter considered at this meeting or hearing, he/she will need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceeding is made, which record includes the testimony and evidence from which the appeal is to be issued.
