	The THE Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), ANNOUNCES A Public Information Meeting TO WHICH ALL PERSONS ARE INVITED. announces a public meeting to which all persons are invited.

DATE AND TIME:	Wednesday, November 6, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

PLACE:	The Construction Open House will be held virtually and in person. The virtual public meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, November 6, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Please use the following link to register: https://tinyurl.com/US-1-RRR. A brief presentation followed by questions and comments from the public will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. and again from 5:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. The in-person open house is scheduled for Wednesday, November 6, 2024, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Hollywood Branch Library, 2600 Hollywood Boulevard, Hollywood, FL 33020 and will have an informal open house format. FDOT staff and consultant staff members will be available to discuss the project and answer questions.

Subject:	Financial Management No.: 447674-1-52-01 Project Description: State Road (SR) 5/US 1 from the Miami-Dade/Broward County Line to SR 824/Pembroke Road in the Cities of Hallandale Beach and Hollywood. Project improvements along SR 5/US 1 include milling and resurfacing the existing roadway within the project limits to ensure long-term resilience; constructing a directional traffic median opening at the intersection of SE 5 Street/Breeze Way to enhance vehicular safety; upgrading existing pedestrian signals at signalized intersections to improve push button accessibility; and upgrading concrete sidewalks, curb ramps, pavement markings, and signage to improve visibility and connectivity. Construction will begin in November 2024 and is estimated to be completed in Summer 2025. The estimated cost is $3,966,167.
