	The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) announces a public meeting to which all persons are invited.

DATE AND TIME:	Tuesday, December 3, 2024, 5:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. (CST)

Subject:	The FDOT will hold a hybrid public meeting to present information and gather feedback concerning the State Road (S.R.) 30 (U.S. 98) from the east end of Brooks Bridge to the east end of the East Pass Bridge Project Development and Environment (PD&E) Study in Okaloosa County. This meeting is being held both virtually and in-person on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. (CST). The in-person meeting will be held at the Destin-Fort Walton Beach Convention Center, located at 1250 Miracle Strip Parkway SE, Fort Walton Beach, FL 32548. This meeting is being held to provide interested persons an opportunity to review the results of the study and to provide input on the project alternatives. The intent of the project is to evaluate the feasibility of reconstructing 5.1 miles of S.R. 30 (U.S. 98) from a four-lane roadway to a six-lane roadway and replacing the existing East Pass Bridges. This project will also address existing safety issues along the corridor. Access management changes and right-of-way impacts are being evaluated as part of this study. Future project phases of design, right-of-way, and construction are not yet funded in the current FDOT Five-Year Work Program. Maps, drawings and other project information will be available for review online at 12 p.m. (CST), Tuesday, November 5, 2024, at www.nwflroads.com/calendar. Project materials will also be available at the in-person meeting location. The materials may also be viewed by contacting the FDOT Project Manager. All comments provided, or postmarked, on or before Friday, December 13, 2024, will become part of the official record. Public participation is held without regard to race, color, national origin, age, sex, religion, disability, or family status. The environmental review, consultation, and other actions required by applicable federal environmental laws for these projects are being, or have been, carried out by the FDOT pursuant to 23 U.S.C. § 327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated May 26, 2022, and executed by the Federal Highway Administration and FDOT.
