	The Florida Department of Transportation, District One announces a hearing to which all persons are invited.

DATE AND TIME:	Tuesday, January 28th, 2025; VIRTUAL starts at 5:45 p.m., IN PERSON starts at 5 p.m.

Subject:	The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) invites you to a public hearing for the Burnt Store Road Project Development & Environment (PD&E) Study (FPID 436928-1) from Van Buren Parkway to Charlotte County Line in Lee County. Participate in the January 28th, 2025 hearing in-person or online. Both events will provide the opportunity to view the project video and provide formal comment. In-Person Option: at Cape Coral Technical College, 360 Santa Barbara Boulevard North, Cape Coral, FL 33993 Anytime between 5 – 6 p.m. Open house 6 p.m. Formal presentation and comment Displays will be available starting at 5 p.m. to review at your own pace and the formal presentation will begin at 6 p.m. The project team will be available for discussion. Live Online Option: starting at 5:45 p.m. at https://tinyurl.com/BurntStoreRdPH (please register in advance). Materials will be posted by January 21st, 2025 on the project webpage. This event will include a livestream of the in-person presentation and the formal comment portion. This hearing is being conducted to present the preferred alternative and all analysis to date, as well as to give interested persons an opportunity to express their views concerning the location, conceptual design, and social, economic, and environmental effects of the proposed improvements. Project documents will be available for public viewing from January 7th, 2025 to February 7th, 2025, at Northwest Regional Library, 519 Chiquita Boulevard North, Cape Coral, FL 33993 and at FDOT District One, Southwest Area Office, 10041 Daniels Parkway, Fort Myers, FL 33913 (by appointment only). They will also be available on the project webpage. If you are unable to attend the hearing, comments can also be provided through the project webpage (https://www.swflroads.com/project/436928-1) or by email (Steven.Andrews@dot.state.fl.us) or mail (FDOT District One, Attn: Steven A. Andrews, 801 N. Broadway Ave., Bartow, FL 33830). While comments about the project are accepted at any time, they must be received or postmarked by February 7th, 2025, to be included in the formal hearing record. All comments are weighted equally. Questions can be answered by calling the FDOT project manager Steven A. Andrews at (863) 519-2270. FDOT is sending a notice to all property owners and tenants within at least 300 feet on either side of the project and to other public officials, regulatory agencies, organizations, and individuals interested in the project. The environmental review, consultation, and other actions required by applicable Federal environmental laws for this project are being, or have been, carried out by FDOT pursuant to 23 U.S.C. §327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated May 26, 2022 and executed by FHWA and FDOT.
