Overview



	The Florida Department of Transportation District Four announces a public meeting to which all persons are invited.

DATE AND TIME:	Thursday, February 20, 2025, at 5:30 p.m. The public meeting will be offered in-person and virtually simultaneously.

PLACE:	The public meeting will take place at the Lauderdale-By-The-Sea Town Hall located at 4501 North Ocean Drive, Lauderdale-By-The Sea, FL 33308. Subject:	The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), will hold a public meeting for the roadway improvements project along State Road (SR) A1A from Flamingo Avenue to south of Pine Avenue, in Broward County. The project identification number is 448405-1-52-01. Proposed improvements: Repave the existing roadway to improve the resiliency of our infrastructure Replace pedestrian signals at intersections with countdown pedestrian signals, (which show the number of seconds left to cross the street) to improve safety for pedestrians Modify curb ramps to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) to improve the mobility of users with disabilities Replace damaged sidewalks to improve safety Replace and upgrade signs and pavement markings to meet current standards and increase reflectivity Install shared lane markings indicating cyclists should be expected in the lane from Flamingo Avenue to Palm Avenue The meeting will consist of a formal presentation followed by a question-and-answer session. Staff will be available to answer questions and provide assistance. Comments and questions will be answered in the order received. If your question is not answered during the event, a response will be provided in writing following the meeting. Questions and comments may also be submitted prior to the meeting by emailing the Project Manager.
