62-621.300

Permits

PURPOSE:

The Department of Environmental Protection proposes to update the “Generic Permit for Stormwater Discharge from Large and Small Construction Activities”, the “Notice of Intent to Use Generic Permit for Stormwater Discharge from Large and Small Construction Activities”, and the “National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Stormwater Notice of Termination”, which are forms adopted and incorporated by reference in 62.621.300(4)(a), 62-621.300(4)(b), and 62-621.300(6), respectively. These updates will clarify existing requirements for the regulated community, incorporate new federal requirements and best management practices aimed to protect water quality, and improve regulatory efficiency.

SUBJECT:

Updates will be made to the existing generic permit for construction site stormwater discharges and its associated forms that are adopted and incorporated by reference in Rule 62-621.300, F.A.C.
