PURPOSE:

The proposed rule amendment is being promulgated to implement changes in the administration of the District's Cooperative Assistance Program. This makes minor changes to the Cooperative Assistance program rule sections: Funds Allocation, Application Process, and Small-Scale Spoil Island Restoration and Enhancement Projects.

SUMMARY:

The amendments proposed at this time will support the updated and renewed Cooperative Assistance Program application, which has been shortened to make for a more concise and simplified application while allowing more project narratives to identify the key points for funding consideration.  The Form numbers and the links to the State’s FL Rules website have changed for the new Cooperative Assistance Program Application.  The complete application is being uploaded as reference materials as part of FY2024 Rule Making.  There is an increase in potential funding for Small-Scale Spoil Island Restoration and Enhancement Projects.
