PURPOSE:

These rules will amend the adopted rules establishing the requirements for the Florida Reimbursement Assistance for Medical Education (FRAME) Program, consistent with changes to section 381.402, Florida Statutes, pursuant to Chapter 2024-15, Laws of Florida (Senate Bill No. 7016). The function of the program is to make payments that offset loans and educational expenses incurred by students for studies leading to licensure as a specified health care practitioner.

SUMMARY:

The FRAME program reimburses student loans incurred for studies leading to a degree and licensure as a medical doctor, doctor of osteopathic medicine, advanced practice registered nurse (APRN), APRN engaged in autonomous practice, physician assistant, mental health professional, licensed practical nurse, and registered nurse.
