RULE:

69G-20.0021

Procedures for Filing Claim

PURPOSE:

The proposed amendment will clarify the Division’s procedure for making payment to a person entitled to unclaimed cash property.

SUMMARY:

The rule provides that a person entitled to unclaimed cash property must select the preferred payment method in writing within five business days of claim approval or notice of entitlement. If no timely selection is made, the Department will issue a warrant to the person.
