PURPOSE:

The rulemaking will establish uniform firesafety standards for energy storage systems, which is intended to protect the public health, safety, and welfare.

SUMMARY:

The proposed rulemaking establish uniform firesafety standards for systems that store energy, including batteries in electric vehicles and powered micromobility devices.
