	The Florida Department of Transportation announces a hearing to which all persons are invited.

DATE AND TIME:	The Public Hearing will be held virtually and in-person on separate days. The virtual meeting will be held on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at 5:30 p.m. The in-person meeting will be held on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. A formal Presentation will begin at 6:00 p.m. Questions and comments may be submitted during the comment period after the formal presentation. All comments must be submitted by Wednesday, May 7, 2025. All questions, comments or statements postmarked on or before Wednesday, May 7, 2025 will become part of the Public Hearing record. The same information will be presented at both the virtual and the in-person for the Public Hearing, so attending both is not necessary.

Subject:	The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will hold a virtual and in-person Public Hearing to present information and gather feedback from the public concerning the Project Development and Environment (PD&E) Study for Cove Road from State Road (SR) 76/Kanner Highway to SR-5/US-1. The project identification number is 441700-1-22-02. The proposed project improvements along Cove Road from SR 76 to US 1 include roadway widening from two to four travel lanes, a bicycle and pedestrian shared-use path, and intersection reconfigurations. The project will enhance the community by accommodating planned development growth, improve safety by incorporating street lighting and several roundabout intersections, and facilitate access to the regional highway network with decreased evacuation and emergency response times. All exhibits presented at the Public Hearing can be viewed electronically on the project website www.CoveRoadStudy.com. The environmental review, consultation, and other actions required by applicable federal environmental laws for this project, are being, or have been, carried out by FDOT pursuant to 23 U.S.C. § 327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated May 26, 2022, and executed by the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) and FDOT. If you would like to review the project documents prior to the Public Hearing, they will be available to the public beginning on April 1, 2025, at the Robert Morgade Library located at 5851 SE Community Drive, Stuart, Florida 34997 Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, 10:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Wednesday: 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The documents are also available on the project website. The documents will remain on display through May 7, 2025. Community feedback is at the core of all we do. FDOT works with the public to balance their community vision with the community's transportation needs. This is routine on all our projects to ensure Florida's infrastructure is safe, resilient, and efficient for many years into the future. Notices are being sent to all property owners and tenants located within at least 300 feet on either side of the proposed alignment and to other public officials, regulatory agencies, organizations, and individuals that have expressed interest in the project. Public participation is solicited without regard to race, color, national origin, age, sex, religion, disability, or family status.
