RULE:

65C-28.011

Criminal, Delinquency and Abuse/Neglect History Checks for Release to a Parent, Placement with a Relative and Non-Relative and Approval of Informal Safety Management Providers

PURPOSE:

Amendments adjusts timelines, clarifies terms, and incorporates language to align with statutory mandates and department policies.

SUMMARY:

This rule is amended to align with the Department’s practices and to clarify time frames; adds specific requirements for situations involving emergency placements, including timelines for fingerprint submission and NCIC checks; and affirms that parents are not required to undergo fingerprinting for reunification but must meet other background screening conditions.
