	The THE Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), ANNOUNCES A Public Information Meeting TO WHICH ALL PERSONS ARE INVITED. announces a public meeting to which all persons are invited.

DATE AND TIME:	Thursday, May 15, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

PLACE:	The Construction Open House will be held virtually and in person. The Virtual Public Meeting is scheduled for Thursday, May 15, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Please use the following link to register: https://tinyurl.com/Sunrise-Blvd-Project. A brief presentation followed by questions and comments from the public will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. and again from 5:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. The In-Person Open House is scheduled for Thursday, May 15, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the ArtServe located at 1350 East Sunrise Boulevard, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33304, and will have an informal open house format. FDOT staff and consultant staff members will be available to discuss the project and answer questions.

Subject:	Financial Management No.: 435514-1-52-01 and 447678-1-52-01/02 Project Description: State Road (SR) 838/Sunrise Boulevard at SR 9/I-95 Interchange Improvements and Resurfacing, Restoration, and Rehabilitation (RRR) Project from SR 9/I-95 to SR 5/US 1, in the City of Fort Lauderdale. Project improvements consist of widening SR 838/Sunrise Boulevard at the SR 9/I-95 Interchange overpass to accommodate dual right turn lanes onto northbound and southbound SR 9/I-95 to improve vehicular capacity and operations; widening the southbound SR 9/I-95 (Exit 29) off-ramp to accommodate triple left and triple right turn lanes onto SR 838/Sunrise Boulevard to improve vehicular capacity and operations; milling and resurfacing the existing roadway within the project limits to ensure long-term infrastructure resilience; installing new light poles with LED fixtures at the SR 9/I-95 Interchange to enhance nighttime visibility; installing Wrong-Way Driver detection systems on all ramps at the SR 9/I-95 Interchange to improve vehicular safety; upgrading existing signalization features to improve pushbutton accessibility and enhance pedestrian safety; adding a shared-use path on the SR 838/Sunrise Boulevard bridge over SR 9/I-95 to enhance pedestrian connectivity; and upgrading sidewalk curb ramps, pavement markings, and signage to enhance visibility and accessibility. Construction will begin in June 2025 and is estimated to be completed in Early 2029. The estimated cost is $55,449,488.
