Overview



	The Florida Department of Transportation announces a workshop to which all persons are invited.

DATE AND TIME:	July 24, 2025, at 5:30 p.m.

PLACE:	Nancy Higgs Community Center, Melbourne Beach

Subject:	A community listening session will be held regarding project plans on State Road (S.R.) A1A from Hidden Cove Drive to Sea Dunes Drive. (FPID no. 450632-1) on Thursday, July 24, 2025, at the Nancy Higgs Community center, 500 S. Florida Trail, Melbourne Beach, FL 32951. The purpose for the listening session is to understand community sentiment toward the use of overhead Pedestrian Hybrid Beacons (PHBs) at the planned new crossings at Solway Drive and south of Oceanway Drive. The project will also construct new sidewalk between Hidden Cove Drive and Casseekee Trail. The listening session will be held as an open house from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Community members are invited to attend any time to view project information and speak with project team members. If you are unable to attend the listening session, you can view all meeting materials, including the presentation, and provide comment through the project website at www.cflroads.com/project/450632-1 prior to the meeting. Public participation is solicited without regard to race, color, national origin, age, sex, religion, disability, or family status.
