Overview



	The The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) announces a public meeting to which all persons are invited.

Subject:	The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will be hosting a public meeting regarding resurfacing, restoration and rehabilitation improvements as well as a Shared Use Non-motorized (SUN) trail along State Road (SR) 5/US 1 from 0.5 mile south of SR A1A/SE Dixie Highway to SE Osprey Street (Financial Project Identification Numbers: 448447-1-52-01 & 448447-2-52-01). The purpose of this project is to repave and restripe the existing roadway to extend the service life of the pavement and enhance safety for motorists as well as construct a SUN Trail for bicyclists and pedestrians. Construction is estimated to begin in summer 2026 and is anticipated to be completed in early winter 2027. The estimated construction cost is $20 million. The public meeting will consist of a formal presentation followed by an open discussion. Staff will be available to answer questions and provide assistance. Comments and questions will be answered in the order received. If your question is not answered during the event, a response will be provided in writing following the meeting.
