Overview



	The Florida Coordinating Council for Deaf and Hard of Hearing Medical Accessibility Task Force announces a public meeting to which all persons are invited.

DATE AND TIME:	April 28, 2006 from 9:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

PLACE:	Florida Hospital Association, 307 Park Lake Circle, Orlando, Florida 32803, (407) 841-6230.

Subject:	(a) application of the ADA’s effective communication requirements in medical settings from the federal and state perspectives; (b) lack of education concerning accessibility requirements; (c) associated costs with providing accessibility; and (d) willingness to provide accommodations for persons who are deaf, hard of hearing, late-deafened, or deaf-blind in Florida.
