Overview



	The Polk County Government staff announces a workshop to which all persons are invited.

DATE AND TIME:	Wednesday, November 19, 2025, and Thursday, November 20, 2025, 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

PLACE:	Participate in person at Polk County Sheriff’s Office Northeast District Command, Community Room, 1100 Dunson Rd., Davenport, FL 33896 (Nov. 19, 2025 from 5 to 7 p.m.), or virtually on GoToWebinar from your computer, tablet, or mobile device (Nov. 20, 2025 from 5 to 7 p.m.). Subject:	Polk County Government, in coordination with FDOT, is conducting a PD&E Study to evaluate the extension of North Ridge Trail roadway over Interstate-4 (I-4) in Davenport, Florida. The workshop is an opportunity for you to review and comment on the status of the study. Polk County Government staff will display alternatives, including a no-build alternative. The workshop materials will include maps and an analysis matrix comparing the potential effects and costs of each alternative. There are two ways to participate in the workshop, in person or virtually. The same materials will be posted on the project website at https://www.polk-county.net/public-safety/roads-and-drainage/north-ridge-trail-extension-project/. IN-PERSON OPTION: Attend in-person on Nov. 19, 2025, at Polk County Sheriff’s Northeast Office, Community Room, 1100 Dunson Rd., Davenport, FL 33896. The workshop will be an open-house style from 5 to 7 p.m., where attendees can view the project materials and talk to the project team. VIRTUAL OPTION: Attend virtually via GoToWebinar on Thursday, Nov. 20, 2025. Register at the project website https://www.polk-county.net/public-safety/roads-and-drainage/north-ridge-trail-extension-project/. The workshop will be a virtual open-house style from 5 to 7 p.m., where attendees can view the project materials and ask questions to the project team. Workshop materials will be posted to the project website by 5 p.m. on Nov. 19, 2025. After reviewing the workshop materials, and/or participating, you may submit comments in four ways: 1) submit written comments at the in-person workshop; 2) email the project team at RobertCollins@polk-county.net; 3) go to the project website at https://www.polk-county.net/public-safety/roads-and-drainage/north-ridge-trail-extension-project/; or 4) mail comments to Polk County Roads and Drainage Division, Attention: Robert Collins, 3000 Sheffield Road, Winter Haven, FL 33880. While comments about the project are accepted at any time, please note that comments are requested to be received or postmarked by Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2025, to be included in the formal Public Workshop record. Property owners, business owners, interested parties within at least 300 feet of the project will receive notices inviting them to offer feedback or comments regarding this project.
