Overview

RULE:

5H-17.002	Definitions
5H-17.004	Use of the Identifiers; Deposit of Funds
5H-17.005	Participant Registration; Application Forms; Types of Membership; Renewal

PURPOSE:

The purpose of this rulemaking is to include department-modified versions of the “Fresh From Florida” logo in the definition of “Identifiers” under 5H-17.002; forbid Identifier use by illegal or unregulated products or in connection with the sale of a product that would damage the “Fresh From Florida” brand integrity; require Identifiers be prominently displayed and approved by the department before use on packaging; and allow “Fresh From Florida” Logo Incentive Program applications to be submitted via email.

SUMMARY:

The Florida Agricultural Promotional Campaign (FAPC) creates provisions for the agriculture industry to use “Fresh From Florida” Identifiers on packaging and advertising to promote Florida-grown commodities. This rulemaking allows the department to develop measures which strengthen and protect the “Fresh From Florida” brand integrity.
