PURPOSE:

The proposed rules will update national standards, update the penalty rules, create a new registration rule to incorporate by reference petroleum registration forms and provide guidance on the required delivery of information to be provided in a state of emergency. In addition, a new rule has been created to provide guidance for participation in the Florida Retail Fuel Transfer Switch Modernization Grant Program.

SUMMARY:

During the 2025 Legislation Session, changes were made to Chapters 525 and 526, Florida Statutes. To comply with Chapter 2025-22, Laws of Florida, the penalty rules are being updated, petroleum registration forms are being incorporated by reference, guidelines related to required information in a state of emergency, and guidelines on how to participate in the grant program are being provided. Incorporated by reference national standards will be updated to the most recent version.
