RULE:

68A-34.001	Purpose.

PURPOSE:

The purpose of this rulemaking is to update freshwater commercial fisheries in the state by creating a new rule chapter (68A-34) that establishes quality control requirements relating to commercially harvested freshwater aquatic life for consumptive sale.  The effect of the proposed rulemaking will be to modernize regulations and improve sanitary practices for the fisheries.
