	The DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION announces a public meeting to which all persons are invited.

Subject:	The Florida Department of Education (Department) announces a public comment period and public hearing related to the proposed Perkins State Determined Performance Levels for 2026-2027. The public comment period runs from February 27, 2026 to March 30, 2026, with an online public hearing scheduled for March 6, 2026 at 2:00 pm. EST. As part of Florida’s State Perkins Plan, the Department must agree to performance targets on key metrics defined by Perkins V and implemented by the U.S. Department of Education’s Office of Career, Technical and Adult Education (OCTAE). Measure targets were previously set for the program years 2020-2021 through 2023-2024 as part of the Perkins Four Year State Plan. With the revisions to the State Plan in 2024, proposed performance targets must now be submitted on an annual basis.
