	The Statewide Council on Opioid Abatement announces a public meeting to which all persons are invited.

Subject:	This meeting is in accordance with 397.335, F.S., which establishes the Statewide Council on Opioid Abatement. The terms of the Florida Opioid Settlement agreement require the state to create an Opioid Abatement Taskforce or Council to advise the Governor, Legislature, Florida’s Department of Children and Families (“DCF”), and Local Governments on the priorities that should be addressed as part of the opioid epidemic, review how monies have been spent and the results that have been achieved with Opioid Funds. Discussion topics and duties will include expenditures and the results achieved, work and share information with the Drug Policy Advisory Council and ensure recommendations are consistent, review data from local, state, and national agencies to advise state and local governments on the status, severity, and stage of opioid epidemic, review data on expenditures, success, and metrics for assessing the epidemic and progress in abating it, and develop and recommend metrics, measures, or datasets to assess progress/success.
