RULE:

68C-22.007

Indian River County Zones

PURPOSE:

The Commission is proposing amendments to the existing Indian River County manatee protection rule in portions of the county to ensure appropriate manatee protection while addressing zone complexity and changes in habitat use.

SUMMARY:

The proposed rule would amend subparagraph 68C-22.007(1)(a)1., F.A.C. from Idle Speed (All Year) to Slow Speed (All year), paragraph 68C-22.007(1)(e), F.A.C. from seasonal No Entry (November 15 through March 31) to Idle Speed (All Year), and amend paragraph 68C-22.007(b)(6), F.A.C. to extend the existing Slow Speed (All Year) zone south by approximately 1.25 miles, to include the unregulated Prang Creek area.
