64I-2.004

Volunteer Provider Eligibility

PURPOSE:

The purpose of the rulemaking is to amend existing rule language to clarify that students meeting the definition in section 766.1115(3)(d)15., Florida Statutes, are eligible to participate in the Volunteer Health Care Provider Program as described in that section.

SUMMARY:

The proposed amendments clarify the types of licensure, certification, or documentation that must be held by a volunteer health care provider participating in the Volunteer Health Care Provider Program and adds paragraph (g) to subsection 64I-2.004(1), F.A.C., to clarify that health care provider students may provide volunteer health care services if certain conditions are met.
