Youth Mental Health Awareness Training and Reporting

PURPOSE:

The amendment will enhance reporting by local educational agencies relating to youth mental health awareness and assistance training. The incorporated form will be updated to include requirements in Section 1012.584, F.S.

SUMMARY:

Section 1012.584, F.S., requires districts to notify trained personnel of available mental health services and appropriate points of contact. Currently, there is variability in how districts provide and document this information. The proposed updates are intended to improve consistency and clarity in reporting statewide.
