Career and Technical Education Program Quality Audit

PURPOSE:

This rule implements section 1003.491(5), Florida Statutes, that requires the Commissioner of Education to conduct an annual review of K-12 and postsecondary career and technical education offerings and to phase out programs that do not meet program quality targets. This amendment clarifies the phase-out process and adds details to the reinstatement process for CTE programs, updates the website URLs and reduces overall redundancy.

SUMMARY:

The rule currently establishes a process for the audit of secondary and postsecondary career programs. The amendment clarifies the phase out process, adds details to the reinstatement process for CTE programs, updates the website URLs, and reduces overall redundancy.
