Overview



	The The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) announces a public meeting to which all persons are invited.

DATE AND TIME:	Thursday, May 21, 2026, from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.

PLACE:	In-Person at College of Central Florida, Ewers Century Center, Building 40 and online

Subject:	The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will hold a project open house regarding proposed improvements on State Road (S.R.) 40 at the intersection of SW 27th Avenue in the City of Ocala (FPID no. 451251-1). The open house is an opportunity for the community to learn about plans to upgrade the corridor through resurfacing and provide feedback. The in-person open house will be held at the College of Central Florida, Ewers Century Center, Building 40, 3001 SW College Road, Ocala, FL 34474. Attendees will be able to view a looping presentation and project displays, speak with project team members, and submit comments or questions. To provide additional flexibility for stakeholders, the FDOT invites participation through the project web page at www.CFLRoads.com/project/451251-1. Community members may visit the project any time to watch the project presentation, view project exhibits, and submit comments and questions directly to the project manager. Project materials will be available beginning Thursday, May 21, and will be the same as what will be shared at the in-person open house. While the information will remain on the website throughout the project, please provide comments or questions by June 4 to have the comments included in the open house record. The FDOT seeks input from all property owners, residents, businesses, and others who travel through the corridor or have an interest in the project. Public participation is solicited without regard to race, color, national origin, age, sex, religion, disability, or family status. Persons wishing to express their concerns relative to FDOT compliance with Title VI may do so by contacting Melissa McKinney, FDOT District Five Title VI Coordinator, at Melissa.McKinney@dot.state.fl.us.
