RULE:

69J-166.031

Mediation of Residential Property Insurance Claims

PURPOSE:

The purpose of the proposed amendments is to standardize and streamline the administration of the Department’s three property insurance claim mediation programs.

SUMMARY:

The proposed amendments will clarify the procedures for requesting mediation and conducting a mediation conference; add definitions; incorporate the 2025 version of the Florida Rules for Certified and Court-Appointed Mediators by reference; and make other necessary changes for the Automobile, Commercial Residential, and Residential insurance claim programs.
