Florida Mathematics Endorsement (K-12) Competencies

PURPOSE:

This new rule is to establish the Florida Mathematics Endorsement (K-12) Competencies as directed by Chapter 2025-109, Laws of Florida.

SUMMARY:

House Bill 1105 (2025) requires, “By August 1, 2026, the Department of Education shall establish competencies for a mathematics endorsement aligned with evidence-based mathematics instructional and intervention strategies.” As an effect of this new rule, districts will be able to provide pathways for Florida teachers to obtain a Florida Mathematics Endorsement (K-12).
