Florida Educational Leadership Examination

PURPOSE:

This rule amendment adopts passing scores for the new Florida Educational Leadership Examination (FELE), which was previously updated to reflect new competencies and skills. The new passing scores will be effective January 1, 2027, and the effective date for the competencies and skills is being adjusted to January 1, 2026.

SUMMARY:

Section 1012.56(10), F.S., requires the State Board of Education to specify, by rule, the examination scores required for the issuance of a professional certificate and a temporary certificate. Rule 6A-4.00821, F.A.C., establishes the FELE passing scores. The FELE Competencies and Skills were updated, effective January 1, 2026. Therefore, it is now time to set passing scores for those updated competencies and skills.
