PURPOSE:

The proposed rules update existing rules and add new rules related to the registration of profession guardians, adding rules related to annual renewals, professional guardian monitoring, and complaint investigation and close-out procedures

SUMMARY:

Provides the requirements for registration as a professional guardian and for registration renewals, including the process for screening an applicant’s credit history, the required education coursework and competency, and criminal background screening. Provides the process for investigating complaints against professional guardians and disciplinary actions and guidelines for violations of the standards of care.
