Overview



	The Department of State, Division of Elections announces a public meeting to which all persons are invited.

DATE AND TIME:	Monday, November 13, 2006, 9:00 a.m. (only if needed); Thursday, November 16, 2006, 9:00 a.m. (only if needed); Monday, November 20, 2006, 9:00 a.m.

PLACE:	Cabinet’s Meeting Room, LL03, The Capitol, Tallahassee, Florida

Subject:	Ordering of machine and/or manual recounts (only if needed), and certification of official election results for the 2006 General Election. ACTION TO BE TAKEN: 1) To order, pursuant to Section 102.141(6), F.S. (only if needed), a machine recount triggered for any race in which a federal, state, or multi-county candidate is defeated or eliminated by 1/2 of 1% or less of the total votes. 2) To order, pursuant to Section 102.166, F.S. (only if needed), a manual recount triggered for any race in which a federal, state, or multi-county candidate is defeated or eliminated by 1/4 of 1% or less of the total votes. 3) To certify the official results of the 2006 General Election pursuant to Section 102.121, Florida Statutes.
