Overview



	The Miami-Dade County Department of Transportation and Public Works (DTPW) announces a public meeting to which all persons are invited.

DATE AND TIME:	Wednesday, September 30, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

PLACE:	Attend In Person: Hispanic Branch Library, 1398 Southwest 1st Street, Miami, Florida 33135. Attend Virtually: Registration is required to participate virtually via Zoom. Subject:	The purpose of the NW 17th Avenue Bascule Bridge over Miami River (Bridge No. 874161) including NW 17th Avenue Project Development and Environment (PD&E) Study is to address operational reliability as well as identify functional deficiencies through potential improvement alternatives. Additional objectives are to improve traffic on NW 17th Avenue for all modes of transportation and improve navigational traffic on the Miami River. The environmental review, consultation, and other actions required by applicable federal environmental laws for this project are being, or have been, carried out by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) pursuant to 23 U.S.C. § 327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated May 26, 2022, and executed by the Federal Highway Administration and FDOT.
