RULE:

2B-1.003	Minor Violations
2B-1.005	Appeal of Fines Imposed by Filing Officers

PURPOSE:

The Commission proposes the rule amendment to remove minor violation fines for violations of s. 160.143(3) which is constitutionally suspect based on National Republican Senatorial Committee v. Federal Election Commission.  The Commission proposes the rule amendment to delete the reference to Section 106.04(8), F.S., from the rule text and law implemented because the statute was repealed.  This is being done as part of the 5 year comprehensive rule review.

SUMMARY:

To remove minor violation fines and delete a reference listed in the rules.
