Student Performance Standards

PURPOSE:

The purpose of the rule amendment is to adopt the revised K-12 reading and language arts standards. The effect will be standards for reading which are in alignment with the current expectations for grades K-12.

SUMMARY:

The reading and language arts academic standards have been revised and updated to maintain rigor, relevance, and articulation among grade levels.
