Regulatory Portion of Recovery Strategy for the Southern Water Use Caution Area

PURPOSE:

To adopt rules describing the recovery strategy for minimum flows and levels within the Southern Water Use Caution Area which minimum flows and levels are being developed simultaneously with these rules.

SUMMARY:

The proposed rule describes the overall regulatory, and non-regulatory mechanisms the District will use to achieve the recovery required by 373.0421, F.S., for minimum flows and levels being established for the Southern Water Use Caution Area pursuant to 373.042, F.S., simultaneously with this rule.  This proposed rule also describes how recovery will be monitored and the recovery mechanisms adjusted if needed to achieve recovery to the minimum flows and levels by the year 2025.
