62-620.620

Guidelines for Establishing Specific Permit Conditions

PURPOSE:

Florida’s surface water quality standards prohibit discharges that are acutely or chronically toxic, without a Department approved mixing zone.   The Department plans to add a new subsection to Rule 62-620.620, F.A.C., to identify facilities subject to whole effluent toxicity testing.  The proposed rule will also specify acute and chronic whole effluent toxicity permit requirements.
