Definitions

PURPOSE:

Chapter 2006-213, Laws of Florida, contains amendments to Chapter 517, Florida Statutes, relating to the Florida Securities and Investors Protection Act. This law changed the definition of branch office and authorized the Financial Services Commissions to adopt exceptions to the definition. Rule 69W-200.001, F.A.C., is being amended to re-define the term “branch office” in accordance with the new statutory definition and specify exceptions to the definition.

SUMMARY:

Changes the definition of branch office to reflect the new statutory definition under the Florida Securities and Investors Protection Act. The rule is also amended to reflect exceptions to the definition.
