	The South Florida Water Management District announces a workshop to which all persons are invited.

DATE AND TIME:	Modeling Peer Workshop April 20, 2007, 9:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.

PLACE:	Clay Hutcheson Bldg. 559 North Military Trail West Palm Beach, Florida, 33415

Subject:	Workshop 1 for the Kissimmee Basin Modeling and Operations Study peer review. The SFWMD has selected four experts to participate in the model peer review panel to evaluate the Kissimmee Basin Hydrologic Assessment, Modeling and Operations Study (KBMOS) model and application to identify alternative structure operating criteria to meet the flood control, water supply, aquatic plant management, and natural resource operations objectives of the Upper and Lower Kissimmee Basin and its associated water resource projects. The KBMOS Modeling Workshop 1 will focus on the Model Framework Science and Selection. As part of this meeting the Peer Review Panel will judge the quality and credibility of the science behind the selection of the modeling tools and their suitability for evaluating existing and proposed Kissimmee Basin Structure Operating Criteria along with the process developed for alternative plan selection.
